About the Dear Sister video
The video concerns itself with knowing someone who is in a relationship which is no good for them whilst being powerless to help. Violence and abuse or a sense of hopelessness in the relationship are some of the reasons you might feel this way. Whatever the reasons, the video attempts to convey the sense of loss and how powerless you might be from knowing someone in that situation.
The trees, cottage and even the location of where they all once lived are intended as metaphors of their relationship.
The Dear Sister song is the first song that Pauline ever penned the lyrics to and is taken from Pauline's debut album "Thoughts For The Masses" - a former album of the week on Iain Anderson's BBC Radio Scotland show.
