Pauline Alexander & Edwin
Pauline Alexander is an extraordinary
singer from the East End of Glasgow. Vocally
she has been suggested to have echoes of Sandy Denny, Eva Cassidy or Karen
Carpenter and she has been said to have the “voice of an angel”. Performing as part of a duo, Edwin Gallacher
brings his own brand of acoustic fingerstyle of guitar. Together they perform a blend of
interpretation of song and original material that encompasses folk, easy
listening and contemporary. Pauline has been a former Iain Anderson album
of the week on his BBC Radio Scotland with her debut album “Thoughts For The
Masses”. Her music has been played on a
quite a few other BBC Radio territories and a loyal band of specialist and
enthusiast radio shows and podcasts. Pauline & Edwin find a very appreciable
ear with music audiences and musicians alike and their music has seen them
appearing at festivals, radio shows and clubs around the UK. This year also saw the duo performing at the
Burns Cottage for their Burns Night in January.

Performing as part of a two piece, her voice is smooth like velvet and very easy on the ear. Performing as part of a duo, Edwin Gallacher brings his own fingerstyle of guitar inspired by Tommy Emmanuel and a love of rag time blues.

"We were most impressed with the performance of singer
Pauline Alexander and guitarist Edwin Gallacher. A very special voice with some superb guitar
accompaniment delighted our audience. It
is refreshing to listen to a singer whose passion is to perform a good song, no
matter what the genre. She sensibly
mixed her set with some lovely self-penned material and well known songs. This duo deserve to go far in the music
